The News Sentinel offers a variety of benefits which allows our employees to select the plan that best fits their needs. Medical and Dental insurance is effective the first day of the month following your date of hire.

Dental

The plan pays 100% of preventative care expenses based on usual and customary changes.
$1500 maximum benefit per year
$1500 Orthodontia benefit per person covered

Vacation

Employees start earning vacation on their first day on the job.

Life Management Program (LMP)

The News Sentinel provides employees and their families with a confidential behavioral health counseling service to assist with life issues. The company pays 100% of this benefit.

Flexible Spending Accounts

The News Sentinel offers two flexible spending accounts, one for dependent care and one for healthcare. These accounts provide the opportunity for employees to put aside pre-tax money for qualified costs associated with childcare or the care of an elderly parent or for qualified healthcare costs not covered by insurance.
