Improving Tomorrow
The KNS Media Group cares about our environment. The attention we give our production process, our community recycling program and the support we give to environmentally-focused non-profits demonstrate our commitment to a greener tomorrow.
A Green Process
Our state-of-the-art press and expert production team allow us to achieve maximum efficiency with minimum waste. The paper used in our printing process is composed of up to 80% recycled content, and any paper waste created in the printing process is promptly recycled.
The plates for the press are made of aluminum and are recycled regularly. The ink is soy-based and environmentally-friendly.
Read and Recycle Program
The News Sentinel has a community Read and Recycle program in partnership with SP Recycling. More than one hundred fifty bins for newspaper recycling are available throughout the community at numerous locations in Knoxville and surrounding counties.
