Abandoning the "straightforward" tendencies of the original lineup and the "math-y" ways of the second, the group now resides in a league with influences such as Saves the Day and Taking Back Sunday. "I say it's 'power rock,' " says bassist Stenson Cole. "Then I think about that, and it doesn't make any sense really, so you put 'indie' in front of 'indie power rock,' and that sounds kind of cool. We're not indie in a Shins aspect, and it's no pop punk like Blink 182, but I guarantee if someone listened us, they'd say we sound emo."
