Sound Description

A transplant from Swoope, Va., Scott Miller has been a part of the Knoxville music scene since he followed a girl to town who, as it turned out, didn't want to be followed. Scott stayed on and co-founded the much lamented V-Roys in the 1990s and then the Commonwealth when the V-Roys called it quits on New Year's Eve, 1999. He and the band gained a little national exposure as the house band for the "Blue Collar TV." In addition to being a collector of vintage typewriters, Scott is a serious history buff. "Say Ho," which comes from Scott's album "Citation," succinctly chronicles the life of Virginian/Tennessean/Texan Sam Houston. While the song is not licensed for download you can check it out at Scott's MySpace page. While you're there, check out "Drunk All Around This Town," which writer Stephen King has picked as one of his favorite drinking songs.
