28th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Carson-Newman College
Share in the rich tradition and worship in sacred word and music, as the Department of Music at Carson-Newman College presents its 28th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on the Friday evening of December 4th. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Tarr Music Center located on the Carson- Newman campus at 1620 Russell Ave in Jefferson City. Admission is free.
Beginning in 1981 when the department took residence in the new music center, the faculty and students continue its tradition to offer to the surrounding community this gift of music and celebration of Christmas. Musical offerings will include performances by A Cappella Choir, various instrumental ensembles, Men’s Chorus and Women Singers combined choir, and the contemporary vocal praise group, Redemption.
