Gavin Rossdale, former lead singer of the rock band Bush, will perform at Knoxville's Thompson-Boling Arena Sunday Dec. 14, as part of the Rock-n-Racquets tennis fundraiser. Rossdale is currently performing as a solo artist, and recently released his first solo album, "Wanderlust."
Rossdale will join previously announced tennis stars Andy Roddick and Serena Williams, who will play exhibition matches and include up-and-coming tennis players John Isner and Caroline Wozniacki. University of Tennessee men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl will serve as a celebrity chair umpire in one of the matches.
Rock-n-Racquets benefits the Andy Roddick Foundation, which helps raise funds for organizations that care for neglected, abused and at-risk children, and children with catastrophic illnesses.
Tickets range from $12-$77. Tickets are available at all area Tickets Unlimited outlets or by phone at 865-656-4444.
