The 2009 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will be held June 11-14 in Manchester, Tenn. Tickets for the festival will go on sale on at noon Thursday, Dec. 4, at www.bonnaroo.com. Tickets prices are being offered on a tiered system linked to the number of tickets sold, beginning at $232.60 and then increasing to $247.60, $257.60, and $272.60, plus shipping fees. In addition the festival will offer a payment plan of $50 in five payments for tickets bought before Jan. 1, 2009.
The festival, entering its eighth year, is held on 700 acres in Coffee County and draws between 60,000 to 90,000 music fans each year. The festival features 140 music and comedy artists.
Artists for the 2009 festival have yet to be announced. Comedian Lewis Black, who has performed at the festival in previous years, is featured in a “Crazy Eddie” style video announcing the ticket sales at the Bonnaroo Web site.
