More on Kenny Chesney
Country star and East Tennessee native Kenny Chesney has written a song for ESPN’s college football games. The song “This Is Our Moment,” will be used during game and studio telecasts and in promotions throughout the football season. The song will premiere during the ESPN pre-game show at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 3.
A video for the song, featuring a montage of Chesney performing in concert and some football highlights, will also occasionally air.
Chesney is the four-time winner of the Entertainer of the Year award from the Country Music Association as well as being a four-time winner of the same award from the Academy of Country Music and remains one of the top-selling concert draws in the country.

Apparently you don't know what Slander is doxie. Slander is spoken defamation while written defamation (what Art did) is called Libel.

I really quit paying attention to him since he forgot where he came from. Anyone know when the last time he was here for a concert?

Kenny WHO?

When he put on a Florida helmet to perform on stage with Tim Tebow, he lost it (pun intended).
For the guy who wrote "Touchdown Tennessee" to do something like that, made me sick!!!
Then, he goes and wears a Bama jersey to perform in Alabama?? Does he think we wouldn't find out???
I guess loyalty means nothing. He's dead to me.
Loser!!

Let's see . . . it won't be a Kenny Chesney song if he doesn't mention grandma, fried chicken, or drinking beer at the swimmin' hole
Unsure how he's going to work that into a song for ESPN, but I'm sure he'll figure it out.

Another well written article, KNS. Thank you for your brilliant copy-editing staff.

Yes thanks! After I posted that, I wondered if I was correct - I always confuse the two terms. Was going to look it up but you saved me the trouble! :-)

I would forgive him if he'd accidentally back his tour bus over Craig Fowler. Otherwise, he'd dead to me.
I just hope that if and when we return to glory, someone makes sure his seat on the bandwagon is unavailable.
As it stands, I would rather sit through a lecture covering the 1992 Vols/Gamecock game from Steve Taneyhill than listen to Kenny, the Crock Lover, Chesney sing.
I wonder what Kenny and Tim are going to name their first child...
Put that in your pipe and smoke it...

It amazes me to see the comments on here. Kenny's music takes him all over the country and for you all to think he would only want to reach out to the University of Tennessee fans is just plain idiotic. He has fans in every college, every city, every state and YES he's going to wear their jersey or college attire when he's visiting them. He'd be crazy not to!! Have you EVER been to a Kenny Chesney concert? When he plays his song "Back where I come from" he always goes around the city where he is and videos and takes pictures of sights in that particular town and plays them in the background...HOWEVER....When singing he always says "Back where I come from, I'm an old TENNESSEEAN (I'm proud) I'm proud as anyone, That's where I come from". He's always said where's he from and that he's proud of it. He hasn't forgotten his roots, UT or anyone else for that matter. He's just a very smart business man in addition to an awesome entertainer and knows how to connect with fans from all over, NOT just in Tennessee. I do agree that it's time for him to do a show in or near his hometown of Knoxville...which is about 100 miles from where I live in East Tennessee but it certainly doesn't keep me from being a fan of his. Grow up ya’ll.

As it stands now, I would rather hear a dissertation from Steve Taneyhill about the 1992 Tennessee/South Carolina game than listen to a Kenny Chesney song.
Go Vols!

If your telling me that you would turn down the money he makes just to wear orange clothes....i aint buyin it. I guess thats why he is a multi-millionaire singer and your a guy that walks around wearing orange clothes.
