Johnny Knoxville is doing a third “Jackass” movie — and this one will be in 3-D.

Yes, the “Jackass” antics will literally jump out at you and be in your face.

Word broke on the sequel after Paramount Pictures listed “Jackass 3-D” in a report of films coming from them in 2010. And Paramount has every reason to want another one. The “Jackass” movies are relatively inexpensive to make. Producing one costs less than $10 million.

Box-office results in the United States alone more than paid for production costs of the previous “Jackass” movies; the first two made around $75 million in the U.S. alone.

No specific release date has been announced yet for “Jackass 3-D.” (Knoxville is the second East Tennessee star going to the big screen in 3-D during 2010. Kenny Chesney will appear in a 3-D concert film coming in April.)

Earlier this year, I reported Johnny Knoxville was in talks to do a third “Jackass” movie. Footage and ideas were being gathered. However, nothing had been firmed up, and he wasn’t sure if the whole “Jackass” crew could one-up themselves for another movie.

    Guess they found a way.

Knoxville, who was born PJ Clapp of South Knoxville, has other projects going besides “Jackass.” He spent the summer filming a new big-screen comedy with Kevin Spacey. He also has a comedy in the works with Cher.

At age 38 and with a new baby on the way (due in a few weeks), Knoxville always causes alarm for his family when he agrees to do more “Jackass” stunts.

When he did “jackass: number 2,” which came out in 2008, Knoxville said his family wasn’t exactly thrilled with the notion. “They are, of course, concerned I might suffer some sort of injury,” he said then, “but it’s what I do.”

And as for doing sequels, Knoxville also said: “We don’t have to top anything. We just have to be funny.”

n They tried. WIVK-FM had a wish list of which celebrities they wanted for the grand marshal position for this year’s downtown Christmas Parade, set for tonight.

Topping that list was Kristian Bush, part of the platinum-selling group Sugarland. A native of Seymour, Bush would have been perfect to headline the parade in Knoxville.

However, he has a scheduling conflict on that day. Sugarland is shooting a music video in Los Angeles today.

So WIVK has enlisted local military personnel to be honored at the event and serve as grand marshals.

The 2008 grand marshal was “Dancing with the Stars” pro Julianne Hough.

n Fluffy dude. King-size stand-up “Fluffy Guy” Gabriel Iglesias is playing Knoxville in 2010.

The comic, who recently was showcased in his own hour-long Comedy Central special, will perform at 8 p.m., March 19 at the Tennessee Theatre.

Iglesias’s “I’m Not Fat ... I’m Fluffy” was seen by more than 4 million viewers on Nov. 8.
