OSLO (AP) — American country singer Toby Keith says he won't apologize for supporting U.S. war efforts just hours before performing at the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert.

Keith says he supports American troops who "fight evil" abroad and that he stands by President Barack Obama's decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. Obama is this year's Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

Norwegian parliamentarians and a former Norwegian Nobel Committee member have criticized the decision to invite an artist known for penning war anthems to perform at a concert promoting peace.

Keith spoke to journalists Friday alongside Nobel Concert hosts — rap artist Will Smith and his wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith. Other artists, including British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield, also spoke.

Well Talentonloan, it's been 45 minutes and I don't see any of the usual oh-so-intelligent name-calling liberal posters jumping in with their obnoxious responses. They must not be part of the 47% who approve of Obama's excellent performance. Interesting is it not?

Peace through strength was never in Bush's phrase book. Bush's idea was to turn away from where the real fight needed to be, spend two trillion dollars and get a lot of brave young Americans killed--then turn the sand lot over to the Iraqis who were killing our soldiers because our soldiers were keeping the Iraqis from killing each other.

Reagan's philosophy was even simpler "let's nuke them all and let God sort them out." Nothing liberal bout that.

I must agree that federal spending has been reduced tremendously since Obama has pulled us out of Iraq. I must have missed something though; who did Reagan nuke?

Sorry, he didn't actual nuke anybody. He just wanted to. That's why we built all those nukes in the Reagan years and that we are now taking apart and securing the material to keep out of the hands of people who would use them without compunction.

I'd go to war if I had to hear him sing "How Do You Like Me Now" and hold the last note like a sheep.... Or, perhaps if I had to hear him sing "I Love This Bar"... yuck.

Oh yeah!
Obama has kept all his campaign promises!
We've pulled out of Iraq, federal spending has been sliced and diced, and all the troups are home! Thank goodness he had a plan before HE stepped into anything!

Cool today, about 74° but rainy. I've been working on the boat between bands. I went to Bimini last weekend and caufgt the bibbest bull dolphin I ever boated. 52 lbs! He was an armload! Took about 20 minutes to reel him in. I've been eating well this week!

BuddyBear writes:

Oh man,,, I didn't "caufgt the bibbest"! I caught the biggest! My fingers is sore!

BuddyBear writes:

Well I just looked and the high at the airport today was 80°. It's 77° now. I wish winter would get here. At least it's not 99°.

Dolphin the fish, not flipper. Restaurants now-adays call it the Hawaiian name "Mahi-Mahi", but it's really dolphin. We found a bale of dope floating so I jigged it and brought up several. We caught the bull, one cow 32 lbs. and another 28 lbs.
To tell you te truth, I've never listened to him that I know of.

The biggest I ever caught. There are larger ones out there. They are reeeeal good eating.
I don't listen to the country ststions down here. All they play is what I call "Corporate Country". Most of my country I get on-line and it's names like Williams, Cash, Haggard, Gill, and so-on. I'm more into bluegrass than "country".

I'm missing one friend.
Juan moved about 100 mile up the coast.
I do miss his his big black smiling Cuban face.

I saw him about three weeks ago. He gets down here occasionally. He came down and stayed 4 days & I helped him work on his boat. He was out by himself and boated a 9 ft. bull shark. He had clubbed it because his son didn't buy ammo (like he was told), winched it on board, it woke up and tore the boat all to phooey. Busted the engine cover, the starboard gunnel, rod rack, and a wash-down faucet. It bit at him and cut a gash in his hand, got 10 or 11 stitches.

BuddyBear writes:

phooey??
That's not what I said!

BuddyBear writes:

Carlos (his son) has been on his phooey list since it happened.

I gotta run out but I'll be back here in about 1/2 hour.
If you're not on here, you take good care up there, and I'll see you later.
I'll check when I get back.
