Looking for a post-Christmas thrill? Through Jan. 3, lace up your skates (or rent a pair) and hit Knoxville's outdoor ice rink on Market Square.
Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for children 12 years of age and younger, and that includes skate rental and unlimited time on the ice.
Generally, weekday hours are noon-10 p.m., with today's hours of 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday's hours of noon-6 p.m.
Special hours are offered on New Year's Eve (noon to midnight) and on New Year's Day (noon to 10 p.m.).

I hate to see the ice rink close. It just doesn't stay open long enough. I know there is another rink indoors (not sure I can name the other one)but I think it would be so nice for them to open the arena during the times when the Bears aren't playing. They have the Zamboni to smooth it down before a game and would make money to help pay for the arena. That would be a heck of a large rink!!
