The Summit Tour, which brings together former New Edition front men Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant will stop in Knoxville at 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, at the Civic Auditorium.

New Edition formed in 1978 in Boston and hit pay dirt in 1983 with the album and single "Candy Girl," which became a favorite on MTV. The group followed with more than a decade of hits. Brown and Tresvant were in the original quintet, sharing lead vocals. Brown left the band in 1986 for a solo career and was replaced by Johnny Gill. Gill later followed Brown in having a successful solo career.

Tickets for the show will be $55 and $35 and go on sale Friday at Tickets Unlimited outlets.
