New Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin spent Tuesday in California, where his wife Layla gave birth to the couple’s third child.

According to UT, Monte Knox Kiffin was born Tuesday night around 9 p.m. EST.

Knox, as he will be called, weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 21 inches. Knox shares his first name with Kiffin’s father, Monte Kiffin, who is UT’s defensive coordinator.

The Kiffins have two daughters, Landry, 3, and Pressley, 2.

Lane Kiffin is expected to return to Knoxville sometime today.
