The King of Pop Michael Jackson's death struck some Knoxville bloggers as eerily familiar to another king's death, or depending on your era, "The King's" death.

Radio personality Frank Murphy says "Someone should write a book comparing the lives and deaths of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley." The News Sentinel's Michael Silence also sees parallels between "The King" and the "King of Pop."

Terry Morrow of Knoxville.com has a suggested song list to remember Jackson.

Instapundit blogger Glenn Reynolds said he received emails about Jackson's life could have been saved with an inexpensive device.

Domestic Psychology says it was bad day for the 70s. And Ramblin' man about town Randall Brown has some reminisces of Jackson's Neyland Stadium stop in 1984.

When Elvis died, he looked like himself except that he had gained weight.

When Jackson died, he looked nothing like the young man who recorded "Off the Wall" and "Thriller". He had himself hacked up so many times that he would have been virtually unidentifiable if not for the fact that he had been in the news so much due to his predatory proclivity for little boys.

Elvis died overweight.

Jackson died a freakish pervert.

You never know what someone goes through in their lifetime to make them do the things they do. It is VERY sad to me that I have read long ago that Michael's dad would call him ugly when he was young and he was so adorable. I personally dont think Micahel abused any kids and there are only those involved who know for sure and God will decide his fate and it is not up to us to judge. I wonder what goes on in the lives of those so critical of others. Not perfect I am sure. As for Elvis you never know what he went through either to make him gain weight. On that note. I think you get my point!
