In the play, a woman runs into a childhood friend who seems to live the free-spirited life that the woman has always dreamed of. Though a welcome influence at first, suspicious things start to come to light.

The Civil War-inspired musical "Shenandoah" will be open at 7:30 p.m. at the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville.
The play tells the story of Virginia farmer Charlie Anderson, who tries to keep his family out of the conflict, but must take action when his son is kidnapped.
