Dolly Parton has her own theme park in Pigeon Forge. But the Hollywood Star Cars Museum down the road in Gatlinburg has got the star’s shiny Cadillac.
The 1997 Cadillac D’Elegance is a new addition to the car museum located at Gatlinburg’s traffic light number eight.
The car, according to information from the museum, was Parton’s Caddy for 10 years. Museum representatives went to her Nashville studio to pick up the car. Parton autographed an armrest before sending the vehicle off to the East Tennessee museum.
The car’s exhibit also includes some Parton memorabilia and wardrobe items. The vehicle sits in the middle of a display designed with a mountain backdrop and a banner with Parton’s “Dolly” signature and butterfly logo.
The Hollywood Star Cars Museum hosts some 40 vehicles related to movie, television or music celebrities. Its other cars include the “Ecto-1” car from “Ghostbusters” and a squad car from “The Andy Griffith Show.”
Tickets to the museum are $11.99 for adults, $6.99 for children ages 6-12, free for younger children. The museum is open 9 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
