    LENNY WILLIAMS

    Former Tower of Power lead singer Lenny Williams will entertain at 8:30 p.m. at the Broker Banquet Hall, 3434 Martin Luther King Jr,. Ave.

    Williams will sing such hits as "Cause I Love You," "Ooh Child" and "Midnight Girl."

    'BRAAA-ZIIIL'!

    "Brazil," director Terry Gilliam's dark futuristic tale of imagination and escape, will be shown at 7:30 p.m. at the Bijou Theatre, 803 S. Gay St.

    The 1985 film stars Jonathan Pryce as a frustrated bureaucrat who longs to fly away - literally - with his dream girl (Kim Greist). In the meantime, he tries to help a rogue air-conditioner repairman (Robert De Niro) get out of jail.

    SLIM PICKINS & DOC FIELDS

    Chattanooga bluegrass band Slim Pickins and folk singer-songwriter Gary "Doc" Fields will entertain during the WDVX Blue Plate Special noon-1 p.m. at the Knoxville Visitors Center, 301 S. Gay St.

    The free performance will also be broadcast on WDVX 89.9 and 102.9 FM and online at www.wdvx.com.

    BUY A NEW ALBUM

    Isn't the online experience getting a little tiring? It's much more fun to go out and actual buy a real album. Elvis Costello's new disc "Secret, Profane and Sugarcane" arrives in stores today, along with new releases by 311, The Dave Matthews Band, Vanessa Williams and (if you'd like to skip a few meals to pay for it) a long-promised huge box from Neil Young.

    'LAND OF THE LOST'

    The classic Saturday-morning trio of adventurers Marshall, Will and Holly gets an update in the new action comedy "Land of the Lost."

    Park ranger Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell, center below) and his assitants Will (Danny McBride) and Holly (Anna Friel) get sucked into a time warp and meet bizarre prehistoric creatures, such as the Sleestaks sneaking up behind them.

    The film is rated PG-13.

    'THE HANGOVER'

    A Las Vegas bachelor party goes off-track in the new comedy "The Hangover," opening Friday, June 5, in area theaters. Bradley Cooper, left, stars as one of the groomsmen that gets lost while celebrating a friend's upcoming marriage. Along the way, the gang loses the groom and encounters a mysterious baby, a tiger and former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson. The comedy is rated R.

    HUZZAH! IT'S A RENAISSANCE FAIRE

    The 10th annual Shakespeare and Friends Celtic Renaissance Faire and Madrigal Feast will be 10 a.m.-6p.m. Saturday-Sunday, June 6-7, at Crockett Spring Park in Rogersville.

    The festival will feature Scottish Highland games, jousting, theater, fire "manipulation," Celtic music, puppetry, children's games, a marketplace and all manner of ye olde century merriment.

    A LAZY AFTERNOON

    There's not much more of a relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon than having a nice brunch with good music. The Downtown Grill & Brewery features a brunch from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. with music by the Dave Whittaker Trio. You might be able to have a beer while you're there, too.
