THE FOGHORN TRIO
Caleb Klauder and Stephen "Sammy" Lind of the Foghorn Stringband sometimes join forces with Nadine Landry to perform as the Foghorn Trio.
The old-time string players will entertain noon-1 p.m. during the WDVX Blue Plate Special at the Square Room, 4 Market Square; and at 8 p.m. at the Laurel Theater, 1538 Laurel Ave.
The lunchtime show is free. Admission to the full-length evening show is $13 in advance, $14 on the day of the show.

'FOOL FOR LOVE'
The Actors Co-op will present the Sam Shepherd drama "Fool for Love" at 8 p.m. at Ironwood Studio, 119 Jennigns St. off North Central Street.
Directed by Katie Norwood Alley, the cast includes actors Greg Congleton, Amy Hubbard, Andrew Miller and Jim Richardson.

STUMP
Knoxville rock band Stump will entertain at 8 p.m. at Kurt's, 4928 Homberg Drive.
The band is vocalist Missy McGinnis, guitarist Angel Jennings, bass player Gina Roberts and drummer Jessica Gregory. Their CD is titled "Travel With Me."

THE IDAN RAICHEL PROJECT
The Idan Raichel Project will bring its blend of African, Latin, Caribbean, Ethiopian and Middle Eastern styles to town at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, in the Cox Auditorium, 1408 Middle Drive on the UT campus. KJO SWINGS WITH WARMDADDY
The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra will continue its 10th season with "Warmdaddy Swings the Blues: An Evening with Wessell Anderson" at 9 p.m. at The Square Room, 4 Market Square.
Anderson got the nickname "Warmdaddy" from the deep sound of his alto saxophone. He toured with Wynton Marsalis's band foralmost 20 years.

PEACHES
Bawdy electronic rocker Peaches, left, will entertain at 8 p.m. at The Valarium, 940 Blackstock Ave.
Peaches puts on a high-energy show full of spice and double-entendre - and sometimes triple entendre. Sailors, if present, may blush.
"Disco-punk" electronic DJ/remix crew Men, featuring J.D. Samson of Le Tigre, will open the show.

'LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS'
The dark musical comedy "Little Shop of Horrors" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. at the Carousel Theatre on the University of Tennessee campus.
Based on the film by Roger Corman and screenplay by Charles Griffith, the play is about a down-and-out florist who gets help with his love life from a giant carnivorous plant from outer space.

IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD IN '2012'
John Cusack and Woody Harrelson, from left, are among the people frantically trying to survive the complete destruction of the whole entire world in the new film comedy "2012."
Actually, it isn't a comedy, but an over-the-top action-drama disaster-flick to beat all disaster flicks. The title is inspired by an interpretation of an ancient Mayan calendar that predicts crazy events on Dec. 12, 2012.
The cast of the PG-13 rated film includes Amanda Peet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt and Danny Glover.
Saturday, Nov. 14
'THE CRUCIBLE'
The University of Tennessee Opera Theatre will present "The Crucible" at 2:30 p.m. at the Bijou Theatre, 803 S. Gay St.
This is Robert Ward's adaptation of Arthur Miller's play about the legendary witch hunts in Salem, Mass.
