In the world of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” this is the mother of all crossovers.

A three-part story will intertwine all three “CSI” shows — the original “CSI” set in Las Vegas, “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: NY.” The crossover begins with the “Miami” episode (airing 10 p.m. Monday, CBS).

Part two will unfold during “NY” (10 p.m. Wednesday, CBS) and then the conclusion will play out on the original “CSI” (9 p.m. Thursday, CBS).

And it all begins with a severed leg.

In Miami, Horatio Caine (David Caruso) asks Dr. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) to come to Miami after a leg found in the Everglades is discovered — and it belongs to a girl who went missing in Las Vegas a week earlier.

In the next episode, Langston goes to New York after Det. Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) and his team identifies a key witness related to the missing person’s case with ties to Miami and Las Vegas.

The plot begins to turn here when the “CSI” teams suspect all this is tied into a black market human organ ring.

And taking it back to Las Vegas for the conclusion, Langston’s investigation leads him to a prostitution ring in Las Vegas that may harbor a woman key to the case.

This crossover is the first time all three “CSI” shows crossover have been involved in the same story.

In the past two of the three shows have crossed paths, though; Last year, a pseudo-crossover happened when “CSI” and sitcom “Two and A Half Men” traded writing staffs for one episode.
