According to Hollywood, it's the end of the world as we know it.
Debuting in theaters Friday, the new mega-disaster movie "2012" shows the globe crumbling into mass chaos on Dec. 12, 2012, the last recorded day of the Mayan calendar.
That got us to thinking: When WILL the world be coming to an end? (Even NASA has joined the debate, offering to debunk many of the myths surrounding 2012. Among other responses, the agency has said that, "nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.")
