In what's got to be the most amusing celebrity tech endorsement of the season so far, Dolly Parton has gone on YouTube endorsing Microsoft's IE8. It's got this great webslices feature, you see.

Don't you dare say a negative word about Dolly Parton !! She is loved by millions and has given millions for people in East Tennessee. You just stepped out of bounds.

KNS ... I am surprised you would publish a negative report on Dolly Parton. And "Silence", you should remain silent.

This is exactly the problem with celebrity endorsements. Between Firefox, Chrome, and Opera, there's no valid reason to use IE anymore and anyone who uses it is inevitably going to run into trouble.

On the other hand, anyone who would actually take technical advice from Dolly Parton deserves whatever he/she gets.

D_ray, you do realize they're just posting what Dolly said in her own words right?? Lol

Yes I do realize it ... but do they have to make her out to be stupid? She is an icon in East Tennessee. KNS should not make fun of her.

She's sponsoring Internet Explorer... so she is stupid. At least with regards to technical matters. She should stick with what she's good at (I assume there's something she's good at?)
