Cuddling, spray-on abs and ripping off T-shirts were only a few topics up for debate at “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” premiere Tuesday night in Knoxville, held at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek.

With a paw print on her cheek and wearing a T-shirt that reads “My heart is Black,” Kristen Lambert is obviously a big fan of Jacob Black, who is portrayed by Taylor Lautner in the “Twilight” films. She says this character has captured her heart because he’s “different” and “has always been there for Bella (Swan, the ‘Twilight’ heroine played by Kristen Stewart).”

Lambert says that aside from Jacob being sweet, he offers a very important cuddle factor. “He’s more burly. He could hold me. He could cuddle with me anytime,” she said.

What would she do with 30 seconds of alone time with Jacob? She exclaims, “Oh goodness. There would be no talking!”

Wearing a sparkly, hot pink tiara and a “bride to be” sash, Andrea Meldrum and her friends drove 9 hours from Detroit to Knoxville for the “New Moon” premiere.

“I’m on Team Edward because he’s very sweet and very, very handsome. In real life (Robert Pattinson, the actor who plays Edward Cullen) is British, so that always helps.”

Although Meldrum is on Team Edward, she would first “have to rip off Jacob’s T-shirt because Edward has spray-on abs.” Lautner gained 30 pounds of muscle for his “Twilight” role and often displays chiseled 8-pack abs in “New Moon.”

Meldrum adds, “I think I’d like the real thing.”

Woman were not the only fans at the premiere. Brandon Harris from Nashville had something to say about his Team Jacob status.

“I’m on Team Jacob because Edward looks a little weird to me, in the eyes.”

Brandon Goff, another male Team Jacob fan says, “He’s just a lot better looking than Robert Pattinson (Edward).”

Future bride Meldrum does not agree. If she had 30 seconds alone with Edward, she says: “I would say ‘I love you. I love my fiance more.’ But then I’d try to take his shirt off.”
