We compare two pop-culture subjects to see which you like better. To be included in next week's tally, vote for your favorite before noon on Monday. This week's match:

KELLY CLARKSON vs. ADAM LAMBERT

We love Adam Lambert, mainly because his fans are so devoted. But, come on! He couldn't possibly be more popular than Kelly Clarkson, the first winner of 'American Idol.' She's won Grammys and had chart-topping records. (She's also coming to Knoxville on Wednesday.) Let's stack them up and see who's on top:

WHAT HE / SHE BRINGS TO THE TABLE

Kelly: She actually won 'American Idol' and has a powerhouse voice.

Adam: He came in second place last season and has black fingernails.

IMAGE

Kelly: She's the slightly chubby girl next door.

Adam: He's the faux goth who creeps you out.

WHAT THEY'D DO IF THEY WEREN'T STARS

Kelly: We can picture her at a Dairy Queen. Oh, she wouldn't be working there. She'd be ordering.

Adam: He'd definitely work at a trendy Hollywood salon, looking bored and not having customers.

CONFUSION

Kelly: People often say to her, 'You sure look different when you're sitting next to Regis every morning.'

Adam: He hears a lot: 'Who does your eyes? A raccoon?'

LAST WEEK: JIM vs. MICHAEL ('The Office')

Our pick: Jim. He's the boss you want to have.

Your pick: You like Jim, too (well, most of you). He won with 57 percent of the vote.
