Actors Co-op presents Shepard play
The local theater group The Actors Co-op presents Sam Shepard's "Fool For Love" in November.
Shows are at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays Nov. 6-14 at Ironwood Studios, 116 Jennings Ave. Admission is $10 at the door.

New art on exhibit at McGhee Tyson
The second exhibit of "Arts at the Airport" is up at the McGhee Tyson Airport.
The selected two-dimensional artwork hangs in a area just past the airport's security gate checkpoint. It will be on display through April 22, 2010. An opening reception is Thursday, Nov. 5.
The program by the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority and the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville began this spring.
The new art shows works by 31 artists from Tennessee and Georgia.
Water Series company premieres 'Spring' play
The East Tennessee theater company The Water Series premieres the play "Spring: A Knoxville Sonata" in November.
The play is set in Knoxville and was written by Knoxville native Percy Bell.
"Spring: A Knoxville Sonata" will be performed at 8 p.m. Nov. 5-7 and Nov. 12-14 at Theatre Knoxville Downtown, 319 N. Gay St.
The play focuses on two sisters and a family with a history of emotional violence and strained relationships.

Wild Thyme Players presents 'Vampire'
The theater company The Wild Thyme Players presents the play "A Kinder, Gentler Vampire" at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 31. Performances are at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 5401 Tiffany Drive.
The comedy tells the story of a vampire who wants to just be a nice guy.
Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for senior citizens over age 65. For reservations, call 865-932-6738.
Half the play's proceeds go to support St. Thomas' Church.
Chattanooga center seeks play scripts
The Chattanooga Theatre Centre in Chattanooga is looking for original scripts for possible production in a series of contemporary plays.
As many as four selected scripts would be produced in a March 26-April 10, 2010 Festival of New Plays. One script will get a fully staged production in the center's Circle Theatre and its playwright will receive a $1,000 award. The three plays presented as staged readings would earn their playwrights $250 awards.
Any playwright living in Tennessee or within a 100-mile radius of Chattanooga outside Tennessee is eligible. There is a submission fee of $25 per script. Scripts must be postmarked no later than Nov. 13.
