'New Moon' sequel not a 'go' just yet
By Josh Taylor, Cinemablend
With all the fan excitement over the Twilight movies it’s easy to forget that, despite all the interest, this isn’t exactly Lord of the Rings. The first movie made a hefty $191 million domestically, a nice number, but Superman Returns made even more than that and there’s no sequel in sight. Twilight has in its favor that it costs very little to make, but apparently that wasn’t enough for Summit Entertainment to greenlight more than a couple of Twilight movies at a time.
There are four books in the Twilight series with the second and third of the franchise, New Moon and Eclipse respectively, already in varying stages of movie production. Most had assumed, given all the enthusiasm for it, that a movie based on the final book Breaking Dawn was greenlit as well. Not so.
According to Gossip Cop there are currently no plans for a fourth Twilight movie. A Summit Entertainment rep tells them that the movie hasn’t been greenlit, nor have they begun to make any decisions about start date, director, or anything else.
Of course that doesn’t mean it won’t be greenlit, they may simply be waiting around to make certain the second film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon does as well as everyone thinks it will. With two movies still to go, there’s plenty of time left to start planning Breaking Dawn, so put down that pitchfork Twilight fans. It’ll get done, it just may take a little longer than you thought.

'New Moon' Screenwriter: Leave stars private lives off screen
By Marc Malkin, Eonline
Just because Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are such a perfect match on screen, Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg thinks it's time we mind our own business about what goes once the cameras stop rolling.
