KNOXVILLE — DOGWOOD REGIONAL FINE ARTS EXHIBITION
Artworks by new and veteran artists from the Tennessee and four surrounding states will be on display in the Dogwood Regional Arts Exhibition through April 30 at 128 S. Gay St.
The art show will feature works such as the painting "Yellow No. 3" by Bain Butcher, left, and also photography, printmaking and an interactive phenakistoscope, a primitive motion-picture machine. For information, call 865-637-4561.

RB Morris, left, tried to celebrate the release of his new CD, "Spies, Lies and Burning Eyes," a few weeks ago, but a snowy night kept a lot of fans - and even most of his band - from making it to the show. Morris (who is also a new dad now) and crew will do it all over again at 9:30 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Barley's Taproom & Pizzeria, 200 E. Jackson Ave. Jonathan Sexton and the Big Love Choir will open the show. Admission is $10.

TENNESSEE TROMBONE PROJECT
The Tennessee Trombone Project will perform 8-9 p.m. Monday, April 5, in Performance Hall 32 of the Alumni Memorial Building, 1408 Middle Drive on the University of Tennessee campus. The quartet is Michael Miller, Jon Walton, Joe Christian and Bran Jennings. Admission is free.

'TAO: THE MARTIAL ART OF DRUMMING'
The athletic percussionists of "Tao: The Martial Art of Drumming" will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at the Bijou Theatre, 803 S. Gay St. Taiko drumming and dynamic choreography are the hallmarks of this troupe's mix of modern entertainment and the traditional art of Japanese drumming. 'TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD'
"Heartland Series" star Bill Landry will portray Atticus Finch in a stage adaptation of Harper Lee's famous novel "To Kill a Mockingbird," presented by the Roane State Community College Playmakers. The play will run at 7 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays; 2 p.m. Sundays, April 8-18, in the O'Brien Theatre on the college's Roane County campus in Harriman. 'DATE NIGHT'
Tina Fey and Steve Carell, left, portray a bored couple who get in over their head during a "Date Night" in this PG-13 rated film comedy, scheduled to open in Knoxville-area theaters on Friday, April 9. After daring to pretend to be other people in order to get a table at an exclusive restaurant, the pair is thrust into a comic, but kind of dangerous, thrill-ride of mistaken identity. The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Taraji P. Henson, Kristen Wiig, Mila Kunis, James Franco and Mark Ruffalo.
'SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR'
The avant-garde drama "Six Characters in Search of an Author," by playwright Luigi Pirandello, will be performed at 8 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays, April 9-16, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18, at Pellissippi State Community College, 10915 Hardin Valley Road.

The music of Abba charges the pulse of the hit Broadway show "Mamma Mia!"
The tale was recently adapted to the big screen in a film starring Meryl Street and Amanda Seyfried. They are not in this live production, but the iconic music is.
