KNOXVILLE — JENNA & THE ACCIDENTALS

Blues, soul and R&B band Jenna & The Accidentals, left, will perform 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 9, during Alive After Five at the Knoxville Museum of Art, 1050 World's Fair Park Drive.

Admission is $8 in general, $4 for museum members and students.

'CURIOSITY CAT'

The premiere run of the play "Curiosity Cat" will be at 7 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and at 3 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays through April 24 at the Children's Theatre of Knoxville, 800 Tyson St.

TIERRA NEGRA AND MURIEL ANDERSON

Flamenco guitarist Muriel Anderson and the German guitar duo Tierra Negra will perform 5-7 p.m. Sunday, April 11, at the Knoxville Museum of Art, 1050 World's Fair Park Drive. The concert is presented by the Knoxville Guitar Society. Admission is $13 for society members, $18 for nonmembers in advance; $15 and $20 on the day of the concert. 'KICK-ASS'

Aspiring crime fighters Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) and Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz), from left below, deliver comic violence in the new comedy action film "Kick-Ass," scheduled to open Friday, April 16, in area theaters.

The film takes a look at what might happen if ordinary people - no superpowers - decided to take the law into their own outlandishly costumed hands.

The cast of the R-rated film also includes Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Clark Duke.
