Adam Lambert fans should get ready to see a whole lot of black leather, lasers and eyeliner up close, as the "American Idol" alum Tuesday announced the dates for his headlining "Glam Nation Tour." Lambert's trek will kick off June 4 in Wilkes Barre, Pa. and will hit 14 more cities through July, with additional dates to be announced.

''I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours and fall into a world full of glam, drama and excitement," Lambert said in a statement, "and I would love everyone to come away with a new appreciation for the music on my album."

Fellow "American Idol" season 8 alum Allison Iraheta and guitarist/singer Orianthi will open on all dates of Lambert's tour. "I am such a fan of Allison's music and I am so excited for her to perform it live in front of an audience," says Lambert of Iraheta. "She is pure rock and roll." Of Orianthi, he adds, "She is a killer guitarist and a great vocalist. I'm so excited to be sharing the stage with her."

Lambert's post-"Idol" debut album, "For Your Entertainment," has sold 605,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. His second single, the Pink and Max Martin-penned ballad "Whataya Want from Me," entered the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 chart last week on the heels of his mentoring stint and performance on "American Idol."
