Last year, more than 16,000 ice-skating patrons sliced through the covered sheet of ice on Market Square.
Through Jan. 2, the Market Square rink will be open every day, rain or shine - and experienced and novice skaters alike are returning in big numbers.
Hours of operation are 4-10 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 1-10 p.m. Sundays.
Patrons may bring their own skates or rent one of more than 350 pairs the rink has available. The price of admission for the city-sponsored event - $10 for adults and $7 for children under 12 -is waived if skaters bring their own ice skates. Group rates are available.
