Start your Valentine's Day in style with a sumptuous cocktail

Nothing says “I Love You” like booze.

OK, so maybe there are a few other options: candy, flowers, a gourmet meal. Yes, those things are sweet, but, seriously, what could be nicer than treating your sweetie to a sumptuous Valentine’s Day-themed cocktail to start (or end) your night in style?

Here are some ideas for Valentine’s Day cocktails, or if you’d like to share one of your own, post it in the comments section below.

Midori Sweetheart

1 part Midori Melon Liqueur

1 part Skyy Passion fruit Infusions

½ parts Elderflower Liqueur

2 parts Passion fruit juice (Welch’s)

½ parts fresh lemon juice

2 drops of honey (¼ tsp.)

Add ingredients into a chilled shaker glass, add ice. Shake and strain into a chilled 6 oz cocktail glass.

Tongue Tied

1½ ounces X-Rated Fusion Liqueur

1½ ounces SKYY Infusions Cherry

Splash of Grenadine

Shake X-Rated and SKYY Infusions Cherry over ice. Strain into a martini glass. Slowly add a dash of Grenadine so that it sinks to the bottom. Garnish with a cherry with a knotted stem.

X-Rated Passion

2 ounces X-Rated Fusion Liqueur

2 ounces SKYY Infusions Passion Fruit

Splash of Club Soda

Serve on the rocks and garnish with a lime.

Love EliXir

1 ounces X-Rated Fusion Liqueur

1.5 ounces SKYY Vodka

1 ounces Orange Juice

1 ounces Pineapple Juice

½ ounces Grenadine

Serve on the rocks and garnish with a lemon twist.

The SKYY Violet

1½ ounces SKYY Vodka

3/4 ounces Creme de Violette

3 ounces Dry Sparkling Wine (such as Drusian Prosecco)

3 dashes Fee Brothers or Angostura Orange Bitters

Stir SKYY Vodka, Orange Bitters and Creme de Violette with ice. Strain into Champagne coup or flute and top with Prosecco. Top with zest of an orange and garnish with orange twist.
