The Knoxville Opera will present Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor" at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Theatre, 604 S. Gay St. The New York Metropolitan Opera's Rachele Gilmore, left, has the lead role of Lucia. Another performance is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14. Admission is $15-$88. CANDORO ARTS AND HERITAGE CENTER SHOW
An exhibit designed to be a "hyper-colorful" break for the gray winter season will feature art by Kit Hoefer, Katpeacent and the Pogue Family Project and Larry the Photo Guy 5-9 p.m. at the Candoro Arts and Heritage Center, 681 Maryville Pike.
Admission is free to the opening.
ScareKrow and DeLacey will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, in a concert to benefit the historic building. Suggested donation is $8.
The art show will also be open 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.

The jazzy group hails from Brooklyn, NY, and just finished touring with energetic folksinger Langhorne Slim. Their latest CD is titled "Songs for a Sinking Ship."
