A "Bridezilla" lives among us.
The hit WE (Women's Entertainment) reality series shot an episode this past week in Knoxville. "Bridezilla" follows the harried stories of brides as they prepare for their big day - tears, breakdowns, fits and all.
The bride being profiled is Ayanna Greer, the sister of pro football player Jabari Greer, who played for the University of Tennessee and is now with the New Orleans Saints.
Ayanna married over the weekend; shooting for the episode, which does not have an airdate yet, took place most of the past week.
"She's just sassy and knows what she wants," says one source, "She's actually been great fun."
And that's exactly the type of woman that "Bridezilla" aims to find.
Filming took place around Knoxville, including at Bella Boutique and a Joann craft store. An employee answering the phone at Bella confirmed the show shot there but would not go into detail.
One of WE's biggest hits, "Bridezilla" can be seen in marathons on Fridays.
n Ratings. After years of soft ratings' openings in the Knoxville market, "Survivor" debuted its 20th cycle with a roar. "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" premiered with an unusually strong 10.6.
The number represents "Survivor's" best season opener in years. It was also good enough for the series to be the second-most primetime program for the evening of Feb. 11.
However, the real test of how well the show will be received comes this week. Will the audience come back for a second helping?
This latest "Survivor" features past favorite players back to mark the game's 10th anniversary. Knoxville native Ben "Coach" Wade has returned to the game. His team avoided going to tribal council.
Among his other teammates include Jerri Manthey (who he's crushing on) and Rob Mariano (who he wants to befriend, though Mariano doesn't exactly feel the same way).
"Survivor: Heroes and Villains" airs 8 p.m. Thursdays on CBS.
