CLAYTON CENTER CONCERT

Maryville College music faculty members Bill Swann, piano, and Larry Smithee, trumpet, will perform jazz standards and original compositions at 8 p.m. at the new Clayton Center for the Arts, 502 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville.

Swann will perform on the facility's new Steinway piano, which he helped select. This concert will mark the first faculty performance in the new facility. Admission is free.

GO! CONTEMPORARY DANCE

Go! Contemporary Dance Works will present the latest choreography of director Lisa Hall McKee at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Bijou Theatre, 803 S. Gay St.

The company mixes contemporary ballet and modern dance with an eye towards athleticism. The two acts of this dance concert take thematic visits to Africa and France.

'THE HOBBIT'

A stage production of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" will be presented at 3 p.m. at the Children's Theatre of Knoxville, 800 Tyson St., off of Broadway near Old Gray Cemetery.

In the play, hobbit Bilbo Baggins encounters the curious character Gollum and the ferocious dragon Smaug on his adventures in Middle Earth.

BENEFIT FOR INVISIBLE CHILDREN
