US Weekly magazine is reporting that Sevierville native Matthew Settle, who plays Rufus on the CW's "Gossip Girl," is on the cusp of divorce.

He and model Naama Nativ, who have been together for three years, have a daughter. A "source" tells the magazine "divorce is imminent" for the couple. The story goes on to say that Matthew has been seen in public without his wedding ring.

During a 2007 interview we did, Matthew told me he was nervous about introducing her to his conservative Baptist family, but all worked out well. "I was afraid they'd be angry about it," he said of him marrying a Jewish woman, "but they were delighted. They had met her Thanksgiving prior and loved her."

Matthew grew up in Sevierville, where he was raised in a church environment. When he was 18, he moved to New York City and began a career in acting. His credits include "Band of Brothers" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

n Ratings boost. The Olympics are bringing huge primetime numbers for WBIR, Channel 10. The opening night - on Friday, Feb. 12 - spawned an 18.0, which bled into a later-than-normal late-night local newscast.

The WBIR late-night news that night grabbed a 10.0 rating, much higher than it normally gets.

After suffering from the lead-in of the weak "Jay Leno Show," WBIR's late-night news is starting to see the benefits of life without Leno. The Saturday, Feb. 13, primetime Olympics had a 9.6 rating (which is strong for a Saturday night), with the WBIR late-night news getting a 14.6.

The Sunday Olympics brought a 16.5, beating the competition on the other networks.

n Rockin'. Kenny Chesney's rock stardom is growing.

The Knoxville-area native will perform on CMT's "Crossroads" with legend Steve Miller. The two will tape the episode next month at the CMT studios.

"He's so down-to-earth, so easy-going, you'd never what a big star he is," Kenny said in a statement. "Everything he's done ... songs like 'Take The Money and Run,' 'Jet Airliner,' 'Fly Like an Eagle,' 'Livin' In The USA' and 'The Joker.' ... He's been on the road for four decades and he's just as good now, not to mention the way he can play a guitar! It is truly an honor to get to do this with him."
