What's an episode of WE's "Bridezilla" without a good old fistfight?
When the reality series shot here recently, a confrontation between the groom's sisters and the bride resulted in a fight. The clash happened at the down-town Marriott.
"The groom's three sisters jumped the bride on the day of the wedding," says one source. "It should make for a great episode."
Four police cars were spotted at the hotel, but no arrests were made. By the time the ceremony started, the bride and her future sisters-in-law made up.
The source also described the scene as a "crazy night." An airdate for this episode has not yet been announced.
The bride was Ayanna Greer, the sister of pro football player Jabari Greer, who played for the University of Tennessee and is now with the New Orleans Saints.
New host. Knoxville-based DIY network is adding more muscle to its popular series "Garage Mahal" when it returns this spring.
The channel has snagged former professional wrestler Bill Goldberg to host the series. This marks his first regular gig for DIY.
"Garage Mahal" is a makeover show, transforming the place you keep your car into new spaces - such as a drive-in movie theater complete with flat-screen TVs or a Vegas-style casino that descends from the ceiling.
Out. Turns out that WATE, Channel 6, consumer advocate Don Dare has too many dirty restaurants around here in March.
Dare has bowed out of "Dancing with the Knoxville Stars 2" just a day after a report circulated he was a sure thing. He cited a heavy March workload as to why he cannot commit to the show. "DWTKS2" is a benefit for Children's Hospital for East Tennessee and is produced by radio station WWST-FM, 102.1 (Star 102.1).
The cast so far includes Tearsa Smith of WATE and Abby Ham of WBIR, Channel 10.
The first "DWTKS" raised more than $30,000; the winner was Lori Tucker, anchor for WATE.
