DELICIOUS ART SHOW SAYS, 'EAT ME'
"Eat Me," a collection of oil paintings by Knoxville artist Denise Stewart-Sanabria, will be on exhibit Aug. 1-29 in the Blackberry Farm Gallery of the Clayton Center for the Arts, 502 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville.
The artist calls the show an "anthropomorphic food exhibit," with food representing a spectrum of human activity, such as in her "Donuts Behaving Badly" series, below.
A reception is planned for 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, as part of downtown Maryville's "Last Friday Art Walk."
VALLEY YOUNG
Americana folk-rock trio Valley Young will be the feature act for the "Listen Up, Knoxville" music night at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at Relix Variety Theatre, 1208 N. Central St.

Will Ferrell, Steve Coogan and Mark Wahlberg, from left, star in the new film comedy "The Other Guys," scheduled to open in area theaters on Friday, Aug. 6. Ferrell and Wahlberg play two New York City desk-jockey detectives who long to get on the streets where the action is. Coogan plays a suspect in a crime. The PG-13-rated comedy also stars Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson.

Comedians Patton Oswalt and Kyle Kinane will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday,Aug. 7, at the Bijou Theatre, 803 S. Gay St.
Oswalt has starred in multiple stand-up specials, provided the voice of Remy the rat in the animated film "Ratatouille," played Spence on the comedy series "King of Queens" and currently appears on the Showtime series "The United States of Tara."
