Lavender Festival and Herb Lunch in Oak Ridge set for June 18-19

The 12th annual Lavender Festival herb luncheon will be held at noon Friday, June 18, at Historic Jackson Square in Oak Ridge, featuring guest speaker Jeff Ross, garden manager for Blackberry Farm, Walland. Cost is $15. Call 865-483-0961 to order tickets.

The Lavender Festival will be held 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Historic Jackson Square in Oak Ridge.

Presentations, which begin at 9 a.m., include dill, herb of the year 2010, presented by Greenville herbalist Jean Weaver. Food vendors, children’s activities and live entertainment will be presented at the free event.
