Each Sunday at noon, during the month of March, an instructor at Williams-Sonoma, 7600 Kingston Pike, will present a free technique class.
They include:
n March 7: “Simply Souffle,” where guests will learn the secrets to making a perfect souffle.
n March 14: “Baking Series: Cookies,” the first of a three-part series where an instructor will teach how to make proper cookie dough, to include rolled, bar, icebox and drop cookies.
n March 21: “Baking Series: Cakes and Cupcakes,” the second of the three-part series, where guests will learn the basics of preparing pans and making classic cake batters and decadent frostings.
n March 28: “Baking Series: Pies and Tarts,” the final class of the series, will include a demonstration on making pie and tart crusts, a shortbread crust and a crumb crust.
