Brad Paisley performed in Knoxville on Friday before a nearly sold-out crowd at Thompson-Boling Arena. Paisley is supporting his 2009 album "American Saturday Night."
Raised in Glen Dale, W.Va., Paisley had spent his teenage years as a featured performer on the weekly "Jamboree USA" show in Wheeling, W.Va., before moving to Nashville to attend Belmont College and work as a songwriter. He released his own first album in 1999 and his second single, "He Didn’t Have To Be," went to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart.
"I remember the first time I did a headline tour and it was really bad," said Paisley in a 2008 interview. "It may have been the worst six or eight months of my life. I can’t go in and do a show in a half-empty hall and say, ‘No big deal.’ Some promoters lost money on us."
Paisley has since amped up the production level of his concerts:
"I call it Pink Floyd Cramer," said Paisley. "... It’s definitely a high-tech redneck."

Miranda Lambert squealed like a pig. Her voice was terrible, but I think it was more on the fault of the PA system CRUSHING the highs while neglecting the lows. Brad did great, and Justin Moore looks like he will have a good future in country music.

If you're not big enough to fill up an arena, consider a nice theatre :)

I'm sure Waters and Gilmour feel the same way :)
