Legendary pop diva Diana Ross will perform at the Tennessee Theatre at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2.
Ross’ hits stretch from the 1960s (with the Supremes) into the 1990s (as a solo artist) and includes the No. 1’s “You Can’t Hurry Love,” “Love Child,” “Stop In the Name of Love,” “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Upside Down.” While Ross didn't record for Motown during her entire career, she was one of the artists most responsible for the success of the record label, as well as turning "Motown" into a term for a genre of music.
Ross was named Female Entertainer of the Century by Billboard magazine in 1996 and was listed as the Most Successful Female Singer of All Time in the Guinness Book of World Records in 1993.
Tickets for Ross’ show are $109.50 and $81.50, plus service charges. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19 at Tickets Unlimited outlets and the Tennessee Theatre box office, by phone at 865-656-4444 and online at the theater's Web site.
