Didi Benami, "American Idol" contestant and former Knoxvillian
Didi Benami beamed a big smile when Ryan Seacrest announced tonight that she was going to the top 12 of "American Idol."
She was the first of the remaining 16 performers to advance. She also is the first East Tennessean to get this far on "Idol."
