Johnny Knoxville brought a taste of East Tennessee to this past weekend's star-studded party at Jimmy Kimmel's house.

According to insider reports, Knoxville took a bottle of East Tennessee-made moonshine to the event - and the celebrities at the party couldn't get enough of it.

The guest list included Demi Moore, Courtney Cox-Arquette, David Arquette, Howard Stern, Ryan Phillippe, Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Mark McGrath, Natalie Maines, Adrian Pasdar, Jillian Barberie, Tom Arnold and John Stamos. Stern, Cox-Arquette and Moore reportedly took sips of the 'shine and razzed other party guests to take a drink.

"This was made in some dirty hillbilly's basement with his feet," Knoxville is quoted as telling the guests.

This isn't the first public Hollywood display of Knoxville with moonshine. He brought shine to the set of "The Dukes of Hazzard" a few years back.

It's also no secret that Knoxville was a fan of the work of the late Newport, Tenn., moonshiner Popcorn Sutton. He reportedly was able to get a supply from him on occasion.

-- Benefit. A benefit screening of the documentary "The Wonderful and Wild Whites of West Virginia," which follows a year in the life of Jesco White and his colorful family, is set for June 4 at The Shed in Maryville.

Maryville filmmaker Storm Taylor is a producer on the project; Johnny Knoxville is an executive producer.

Proceeds will be earmarked to help a needy family in the biker community.

-- Laughs. Comedian Pauly Shore will play SideSplitters comedy club tonight and Saturday. Like Kathy Griffin, he plays up a "D-list" celebrity status for his material.

And he'll take the opportunity to get a little revenge on the media that, according to him, has "slapped" him around in recent years.

He produced, wrote, directed and starred in "Pauly Shore Is Dead," a semi-autobiographical mockumentary in which he satirizes the perils of Hollywood.

In the film, Shore loses it all and decides to fake his death, hoping he'll be more beloved in death.

He called in a lot of favors to get the project done.

He enlisted the help of Sean Penn, Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen DeGeneres, Dr. Dre, Clint Howard, Perry Farrell, Fred Durst, Verne Troyer, Andy Dick, Mark McGrath, Jerry Springer, Montel Williams, Sally Jessy Raphael, Kurt Loder and Paris Hilton, to name a few.

Tickets bought in advance for Shore's shows range from $26 and $28. After that, they go up $2.

Reservations are required.
