NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) β€” Country music superstar and big-time football fan Kenny Chesney is planning to give away 10,000 copies of his "Boys of Fall" documentary DVD to high schools and high school football coaches.

A news release says the gift is meant to inspire young athletes both on and off the field and teach positive lessons about hard work, humility and trust that can be carried over into everyday life.

Chesney spent part of his year off from touring traveling the country to interview football players and coaches for the documentary, which initially aired as a 60-minute program on ESPN. The 90-minute DVD is only available at Walmart.

Details on how coaches can get a copy can be found on Chesney's website.

Well, bless his litle ol' heart. For the same money he could have gave them something of value.

I thought the song, video, and documentary were all great. Particularly coming from a hometown boy who obviously has a deep and genuine love for the game. Thank you for a wonderful gesture Mr. Chesney!

I can't figure out why KC is still embraced by East Tennesseans.

Even major country starts like Brad Paisley and Alan Jackson play their hometowns once a year.

Unless you're Kenny. Then you just mention Knoxville or East Tennessee in every song but never come home. It's been since 2003, right, since he played at Neyland? I'm off the KC bandwagon.

I remember him and his behavior at the UT Florida game a few years ago, wearing a Reds baseball cap and tee shirt hanging around the Florida side line.

The network also showed the video of his show earlier and he was wearing a Florida helmet and gawking at Tebow. He had a man crush on Tebow.

I heard Payton will no longer associate with him for that.

Yeah, he’s all Vol.

At least he is his own biggest fan. How arrogant to think you are that much of an inspiration. Never have liked that man. Just don't respect him at all.
