We compare two pop-culture subjects to see which you like better. To be included in next week’s tally, vote for your favorite before noon Monday. This week’s match:

KATY PERRY vs. ELMO

Katy Perry is too sexy for PBS. The pop chart’s salvation from Lady Gaga music shot an episode of “Sesame Street,” but the network decided to not air it. She is seen in a slightly revealing dress and being chased by Elmo. After a few uptights saw the segment, they balked, and Perry got the boot. Now we’re asking you to take sides — are you standing beside Perry or Elmo?

BY THE LETTER ...

Katy: “B” for “Big” ones! What a boob she is! Of all the hair-brained stunts she could have staged, this was among the big ones!

Elmo: “D” for “Don’t” be bringing that all up in here!

CLOTHES

Katy: For the “Sesame Street” video, she was wearing a cocktail-style dress that was a little revealing around the cleavage.

Elmo: Who is he to judge? Elmo is practically naked all the time! (And by the way, ‘Mo, the hairy look is SO ‘70s!)

LITTLE KNOWN FACT

Katy: Wrote “Teenage Dream” for Elmo (“I might get your heart racing/ In my skin-tight jeans /Be your teenage dream tonight”)

Elmo: Is secretly a Reba McEntire fan.

UPSHOT

Katy: Has said she wants another playdate with Elmo.

Elmo: Is concerned. If that’s how she dresses for a playdate, can you imagine what toys she might bring? Elmo scared.

LAST WEEK: 1980s vs. 2010s

Our pick: 2010s. We live for today, not yesterday.

Your pick: 85 percent voted for 1980s. Seriously, Knoxville, you need to update your references.
