Moira Kaye is making her third return to Knoxville TV screens -- this time, as co-host of a new live morning program for WTNZ, Channel 43. The show, targeted to premiere in June and air weekdays, will be produced by and originate from WBIR, Channel 10. Kaye's TV career has always been with WBIR, first as a station intern, then covering weather, news and anchoring shows such as "Live At Five."

"It occurred to us, when we were thinking about what kind of person would be appealing in that (morning news) type of program, that she was (right)," said WBIR news director Bill Shory, who is overseeing the WNTZ show as a partnership between the two stations.

Kaye was last seen on WBIR as host of the lifestyle hour "Style," which ended in 2008. When she quit "Style," Kaye referred to the move as a retirement. But when the NBC affiliate approached her about co-hosting the new show, which will be fashioned after NBC's "Today," Kaye said she was "immediately excited."

Moira Kaye is not a quitter. Not a winner ... but definitely not a quitter. I am not a fan of hers (few people are), but I am glad she found work again. Unemployment stinks. Been there. This stint too will be temporary .... but she should enjoy it while she can.

Just shows how much you know about the news you post about. I doubt she needs the work, which seems to be your opinion. She is married to a Dr. and has children college age and younger. Your post "I am not a fan of hers(few people are)" which is your right, but let her ratings and employer dicide her fate. Each person has a right to an opinion as you do, but it is in very poor taste to throw negative comments at a good and polite figure as this LADY is.
A sign of the era we live in which has become crass, crude and uneducated.

She has had multiple TV jobs and was terminated from all of them. What is crass, crude, or uneducated? What proof do you need that people do not care to watch her?? I give her new show 6 months max. I have nothing against her. She is just not a TV personality. As for your comment "she does not need the job" ... maybe that is why she fails. If one does not "need" the job, they try less.
