The Mysteries of Montana: What do fans need to know?

What's the most important fact about Montana?

It’s football time in Tennessee!

Of course you already know the Vols take on the University of Montana Saturday at 6 p.m. in Neyland Stadium, but what else do you know about UT’s first opponent?

We figure some of you don’t know where in the Helena the state of Montana is, and most of you have never been there — or anywhere near there (not too surprising, because it’s surrounded by Idaho, Wyoming, the Dakotas and a really remote part of Canada).

Quick glance: This team calls themselves the Grizzlies, the school is in a town called Missoula, and the state’s full of macho guys — cowboys, miners, lumberjacks and stuff. Yet can UM match up against the men in orange? After all, the Grizzlies usually play teams like Eastern Washington and Northern Colorado (we’re not making this up).

Here are some facts to keep in mind this weekend. Vote for the one you think is most important, or post your own.
