Square Room/Cafe 4 bartender Dustin Burnett says his personal choice of beverage is a $2 PBR.
If you've been to Market Square's Cafe 4 or Square Room, odds are you've seen Dustin Burnett, who's been working for the restaurant/concert venue since it opened in late 2008.
Burnett does a little bit of everything at Square Room. Before he started tending bar, he worked as a door man for live shows (which he still does on occasion).
"I'm kind of a jack of all trades," Burnett says. "I can do some tech, I can do the door, manage and bartend."
Having never been a bartender prior to his employment at Square Room, Burnett appreciates that they only serve beer and wine. "(That's) my favorite part of the job," he says. When it comes to cocktails "I'm not a drink specialist, necessarily," he adds.
Although the venue doesn't serve liquor, its drink selection includes several red and white wines as well as draft Rogue Dead Guy and Fat Tire, plus what Dustin cites as his personal favorite: $2 PBR. "We have $2 PBR at almost every live show," he says, providing a great option for those who are "into a good show and not spending a whole lot of money."
"I would say I like working here because it brings music to me that I wouldn't normally see or hear about," Burnett says. "A lot of the music we book there isn't your everyday radio music," he elaborates. "I think that's my favorite thing about the Square Room."
