With the success of the 2011 Dancing with the Knoxville Stars comes talk of next year’s show already. No one is really expecting former Vols football coach Phillip Fulmer to follow his daughter, Allison, on the dance floor. However, the TV stations are all chatty about wanting to be in the 2012 cast.
WBIR, Channel 10, sports anchor Kris Budden has thrown her hat into the ring. Talk has centered on getting WVLT, Channel 8, morning anchor Bob Yarbrough out there, too.
The 2011 Dancing with the Knoxville Stars, which benefited East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, raised more than $56,000 this year. Over the span of three editions, the local Dancing with the Stars has produced more than $125,000 for the hospital. Each year, the money generated has increased.
