Update Oct. 14, 2011: After selling out the Bijou Theatre, the V-Roy's New Year's Eve concert was moved to the Tennessee Theatre.

Beloved Knoxville Americana rock act the V-Roys will perform a New Year's Eve reunion show at the Bijou Theatre and will release a best-of album with several previously unreleased tracks later this year.

The band, which includes Scott Miller, Mic Harrison, Jeff Bills and Paxton Sellers, was one of the most popular acts in Knoxville music history.

The V-Roys recorded two studio albums and one live album for E-Squared Records, appeared on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and toured with singer-songwriter Steve Earle. The band's debut album, "Just Add Ice," made several critics' best-of-the-year lists around the nation, and the group's music was used in the Academy Award-nominated film "You Can Count On Me." The group broke up on New Year's Eve 1999 and Miller and Harrison both went on to solo careers.

The group is calling the New Year's Eve concert at the historic Bijou Theatre "One Show; Goodbye." Tickets are $35 and will go on sale Sept. 9.

The compilation album, "Sooner or Later," will be released Sept. 27. The previously unreleased tracks include three cover songs and two Harrison originals, "Someone To Push Around" and "Hotel Room."
