Dogwood Arts' 2011 Rhythm N' Blooms festival schedule

— The Rhythm N’ Blooms American roots-music music festival, part of the 2011 Dogwood Arts Festival, will be Friday-Sunday, April 1-3, in downtown Knoxville venues and at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum.

Admission is $20 per day or $40 for the weekend. In addition to the ticketed performances, the concerts originally scheduled for the Tennessee Theatre will be free on Market Square to offer crowds a taste of what the paid passes will give.

The schedule of performers includes:

5:30 p.m.-12:45 a.m. Friday, April 1, at the Square Room, 4 Market Square: Valley Young, Brooke Waggoner, Jill Andrews, Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside, Erin McKeown and Michelle Malone.

6-10 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Latitude 35, 16 Market Square: Marshall Ruffin, Michelle Malone, thecitylights* and Amy Speace.

10 p.m.-midnight Friday, April 1, at Black Market Square, 23 Market Square: Valley Young, Black Cadillacs

5:45 p.m.- 10 p.m. Saturday, April 2, on the Market Square stage (free portion): Town Mountain, Robinella and the CC Stringband and Scott Miller.

4-10 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Latitude 35, 16 Market Square: Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, Danny Barnes, Young Buffalo, Apache Relay and Big Daddy Love.

5:30-10 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at John Black Photography Studio, 501 Union Ave. (Daylight Building): Kelsey's Woods, The New Vernacular, Sara Petite and Darrell Scott.

8:15-11:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Knoxville Visitor Center, 301 S. Gay St.: Darrell Scott, Eric Brace, Adam Hill, Rayland Baxter and Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen.

10 p.m.-midnight Saturday, April 2, at Black Market Square, 23 Market Square: Light Pilot, Ponderosa.

2-9 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum, 2743 Wimpole Ave.: The Felice Brothers, The Whigs, Diamond Doves, Joe Pug, Larry Keel and Natural Bridge and The Jompson Brothers.
